Magnets

Like poles repel, unlike attract — and only iron, nickel, cobalt and steel join in.

Describe magnetic poles, fields and materials, and how electromagnets are used

Idea 1 of 4

Two poles, always

Every magnet has a north-seeking pole and a south-seeking pole. Like poles repel; unlike poles attract. Snap a magnet in half and you get two smaller magnets, each with both poles.
